Description

Our research group has described the existence of the endometrial microbiome.

Our results suggest that pathogenic deviations of bacteria of the Lactobacillus genus in the endometrium could play a role in infertility.

Our aim is to apply molecular microbiology techniques to investigate the role of the endometrial microbiome in infertility and obstetric complications such as implantation failure, recurrent miscarriage, and preterm birth.
