Carlos Simón MD, PhD
Professor Simón is Board Certified and Professor of Ob/Gyn at the University of Valencia, Spain; Adjunct Clinical Professor, Baylor College of Medicine, USA.
As a clinician-scientist his main interest is the understanding of the human embryonic implantation process, considering as key elements the embryo, the maternal endometrium, and the cross-communication between them using different scientific perspectives. He is the author of 446 publications in international peer-review journals, with an accumulated impact factor of 2,100.73. His papers have received a total of 19,019 citations with an average of 43 citation/paper. His H-Index is 74 and he is an editor of 19 books (one best seller and one Highly Commended, BMA Book Awards 2018). He has been the Director of 38 PhD theses.
The quality of his work has been recognized by the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, the Spanish Society of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and the Spanish Fertility Society.
